We meet at Oak St. and Wellington Crescent, then cycle west on Wellington into Assiniboine Park, then onto the path system through Assiniboine Forest. Leaving the forest, we meander east down Sterling Lyon Parkway and pick up the Fort Whyte Path. In Fort Whyte we may see deer, geese, bison, civic politicians, and other wildlife. After a rest break, we escape Fort Whyte via the north bike path to McGillivray, then through Lindenwoods back to Sterling Lyon. Crossing the tracks on Waverley, we’ll head back to our starting place by cruising the residential streets of River Heights. |

Ile des Chenes is 20 km or 15 min drive from the Royal Mint. The ride starts in Ile des Chenes . We take a cross country route following the berm of the Manning Canal for a few km. We switch to gravel roads always avoiding traffic. Lunch will be in New Bothwell, famous for the cheese factory. Restaurant or park are available. The distance is 35 to 40 km return . Riding at 15 km an hour it should be 2.5 hrs. This ride can be changed to a road ride if the weather fails us. |

If any rides were rained out or flooded out this season we can "repeat" any of those rides to simplify things we will meet at the Leg |

Our first Cycle in the City ride for 2010. Will start at the legislature and go under the Osborne bridge to Mostyn Place then off to through the Wolseley neighbourhood. This is an area with a lot of trees providing shade on the hot days of summer. An easy beginning ride and short in length. |

The DesMeurons ride is one of 3 different St Boniface Specials. We start at the Legislature, go down Assiniboine to Main, crosssing Main, thru the Forks, into Old St B, then to a hidden treasure along the Seine River down Egerton, (you'd swear you were at the Lake and not 10 minutes from downtown) on the way back we go thru the "NEW" part of old St. B, and depending on how dry it is may venture off thru Lagimodiere Gaboury Park, where the Seine River meets the Red, then back thru the Forks, to the Legislature.
